This post summarizes the steps for installing Oracle Pagelet producer (AKA Ensemble) 11g PS6 (11.1.1.6) on a Windows 2008 R2 platform.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Oracle Pagelet Producer acts as a proxy and allows to get HTML fragment from an existing application for reuse it in a different context (a portal for instance, or for syndication purpose in a B2B context).<\/div>\n
This module is included in Oracle Webcenter Portal, and can be used in a standalone mode with a completely different technology than Java.<\/div>\n

Installation<\/h3>\n

The installation process is time consumming but quite straightforward.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Install database<\/div>\n
\u00a0 Important: choose an\u00a0UTF8\u00a0<\/strong>embedded database<\/div>\n
\u00a0 Modify the\u00a0processes\u00a0parameter to more than 200:<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0alter system set processes=220 scope =spfile;<\/div>\n
\u00a0 Restart database in order to take in account the new value parameter<\/div>\n
Run RCU tool rcu.bat)<\/div>\n
\u00a0 choose, at least, the prortlet provider schema<\/div>\n
Install JDK 7<\/div>\n
Install WLS<\/div>\n
Install Webcenter Portal<\/div>\n
\u00a0 Choose, at least, Portlet provider and pagelet producer (if asked)<\/div>\n
Run config.cmd<\/div>\n
\u00a0 Choose a new domain (base_domain) and pagelet producer<\/div>\n

Login on the pagelet producer Admin Console<\/div>\n
